Centrists Show Hypocrisy When It Comes To Bloomberg

It’s an election year and, as the left gathers in coalitions to support their chosen candidates, a new face is set to hit the debate stage. Michael Bloomberg, a billionaire and former Mayor of New York, will take on the rest of the field. It’s important to note that while Bloomberg did not take part in early states, his campaign has surged to third place according to a national poll conducted by Emerson

Bloomberg is enticing to the moderate democrat as former Vice President Joe Biden continues to flounder and former South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg continues to misstep. It leaves the moderate left pondering who to support against the far-left wing of the party. Bloomberg is quickly becoming the safest choice for them.

However, something deserves to be pointed out. While Bloomberg has billions to fund his war chest and blanket the airwaves attacking Trump, he has a problem. A very specific problem that the moderate wing of Democrat should pounce on.

Michael Bloomberg is a vile sexist, with a history of comments that resemble something they once rightfully and gleefully condemned.

The so-called Resistance and some of it’s biggest influencers have been quick to cheerlead the Bloomberg campaign as he childishly resorts to same Trumpian tactics of name-calling, bravado, and flaunting of his personal wealth. They choose to remain silent or ignorant of that version of Michael Bloomberg which has been unearthed as he has risen in the polls.

A lawsuit filed by a former employee revealed the sinister nature of Bloomberg:

“On April 11, 1995 at approximately 11:20 a.m., Bloomberg was having a photograph taken with two female Company salespeople and a group of N.Y.U. Business School students, in the company snack area. When Bloomberg noticed Garrison standing nearby, he asked, “Why didn’t they ask you to be in the picture? I guess they saw your face.”

Continuing his penchant for ridiculing recently married women in his employ, Bloomberg asked plaintiff, “How’s married life? You married?” Plaintiff responded that her marriage was great and was going to get better in a few months: that she was pregnant, and the baby was due the following September.

He responded to her “Kill it!” Plaintiff asked Bloomberg to repeat himself, and again he said, “Kill it!” and muttered, “Great! Number 16!” suggesting to plaintiff his unhappiness that sixteen women in the Company had maternity-related status. Then he walked away.”

Such gems from The Wit & Wisdom of Michael Bloomberg that an employee gave the now presidential candidate for his birthday that only serve to solidify his sexism.

“It will do everything, including give you a blowjob. I guess that puts a lot of you girls out of business.”

“If women wanted to be appreciated for their brains, they’d go to the library instead of to Bloomingdale’s.”

This small pamphlet is a trove of vulgar and misogynist quotes that would make even our current president blush. The funny thing is that despite this, his supporters are strangely silent. One could not help but wonder why people who once helped amplify the #MeToo movement and denounced Trump’s vivid history of sexual comments could so easily turn a blind eye to Bloomberg’s comments.

The question deserves to be asked by anyone who condemns such vulgarity. Did you ever really care about misogyny in the first place, or were you just grandstanding the entire time?

We will wait for your answer.
